Sole Supports are the only custom orthotics available today based on a completely new paradigm, Maximal Arch Supination Stabilization (MASS position) that was developed to actually change foot posture and function during weight-bearing activities. The corrected (MASS) position of the foot is captured by a unique casting technique that utilizes a certain density of foam and a sequence of semi-weight-bearing impressions. By normalizing the way the foot hits the ground the following orthopedic conditions can be helped:
- Plantar fasciitis
- Shin splints
- Hammer toes
- Bunions
- Low back pain
- Knee pain
- Sports performance
The therapists at Rehabilitex are Certified Providers of this new technology in biomechanical control. Our therapists also provide mobilization to the foot and ankle joints to improve mobility and educate you on pre and post orthotics stretching to facilitate new biomechanical posturing.
Many patients present to us with a bag full of failed orthotics that they have tried over the years. The problem is most of the commercially available orthotics are not specific to the needs of the patient. At Rehabilitex we customize orthotics to address the following areas:
- We take the actual weight of the patient which allows us to adjust the rigidity of the orthotic to provide firm support yet facilitate the normal pronation to occur.
- Fabricating the rigidity of the orthotic based on the flexibility of the foot and not giving a one size fits all design.
- Customizing the width, length and depth of the orthotic based on foot structure, desired usage and shoe type. There is even a modification to allow them to be worn in 1-3 inch high heeled shoes.
- The certified Physical Therapist has an active role in preparation, design, casting and dispensing the orthotics to assure your success.
