Frank Gargano graduated from Ohio University in 1990 with dual degrees in Physical Therapy and Biological Sciences.   In 1999 he became Board Certified in Orthopedics through the American Physical Therapy Association;    in 2002 he received his clinical doctorate in Orthopedic Physical Therapy; in 2009 he became certified in Biomedical Dry Needling by the American Dry Needling Institute.  He is one of forty Physical Therapists internationally certified   to teach Brian Mulligan’s concept “Mobilization With Movement.” He is a national speaker on orthopedic topics and provides advanced educational seminars across the country.  He is active in clinical research with a specialty interest in cervical spine disorders as they relate to headaches, dizziness and pain.  He developed a continuing education seminar entitled “The Upper Cervical Spine in Headaches, Dizziness and Pain; A Neuro-Orthopedic Perspective”   that he instructs throughout the United States.  In 2004 he was the recipient of the Ohio Chapter’s award for outstanding clinical excellence in recognition of his contribution to the practice of Physical Therapy.  He is an international board member and Chief Financial Officer for the Mulligan Concept Teacher’s Association. 

In 1994, Dr. Gargano opened Rehabilitex Inc.; a private practice orthopedic clinic in Solon, Ohio.  In 2001 he was a founding partner of the Workability Network, a statewide network of 126 Physical Therapy clinics that provide industrial rehabilitation services.  In 2007 he was a founding member of Vestibular Diagnostics LLC that provide balance and vestibular diagnostics testing facilities and rehabilitation consultation.  He serves as an expert witness  for medical-legal case review in the area of rehabilitation. 

His professional memberships include the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Therapistsand the Orthopedic Section of the American Physical Therapy Association.

David Griswold received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Muskingum University in New Concord, OH.  He then went on and earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from Youngstown State University in Youngstown, OH.  David is a Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist (COMT) through Maitland Australian Physiotherapy Seminars. Also, he serves as a lab assistant for Maitland Australian Physiotherapy Seminars around the country. David is a part-time faculty member at Youngstown State University where he teaches multiple topic areas in their physical therapy division.  Currently, he is enrolled at Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. where he is pursuing his PhD in Physical therapy.  He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) including the specialty interest section in orthopedics.  David’s specialty clinical work is in vestibular rehabilitation at Rehabilitex Inc. David has designed and teaches courses concentrated around an evidence-based approach to vestibular rehabilitation. His special interests include manual therapy, vestibular rehabilitation, and research.

Renee graduated from Professional Skill Institute of Toledo in 1993. She is a licensed physical therapist assistant with an associate degree of science. Renee has had the opportunity to work with a large number of physical therapists with a wide variety of specialties. Renee has attended several continuing education courses to refine her manual therapy skills. She has extensive experience with Aquatic Physical Therapy, fibromyalgia, spine care, and the treatment of headaches and dizziness.

Theresa Roberts, BBA
VP Administration/Office Manager

Theresa has been an employee of Rehabilitex, Inc. since 1995. She earned her Associates Degree in Applied Business from Kent State University Trumbul Campus, and her Bachelors Degree from Kent State Main Campus. Her interests include gardening, reading, and cooking.

Debbie Miller

Debbie has been with Rehabilitex since 2002. She is responsible for scheduling patients and general office duties. Her interests include gardening, quilting, biking and hiking.

Dino DiVincenzo, PES
Clinical Technician

Dino has been with Rehabilitex since 2005. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Ohio Wesleyan University in 2005, and holds an advanced Personal Training Certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Along with working at Rehabilitex, Dino performs In Home Personal Training and is the owner / trainer of Enhanced Personal Training, LLC.

Chris Smolko PT, CWCE, CWT graduated from Youngstown State University in 2001 with a professional degree in Physical Therapy and minor in Psychology.  He has practiced outpatient orthopedic physical therapy his entire career.   He has advanced training in the performance of Functional Capacity Evaluations through Workability Network and the Matheson System.   He is in the process of becoming a Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist (COMT) through Maitland Australian Physiotherapy Seminars.  Chris has also been researching and using Vibration Platform Training to supplement his current treatment protocols.

Chris currently lives in Chesterland with his wife, two dogs and two cats.  He was a former collegiate track and cross country athlete and enjoys running, doing home improvements, and watching sports and has a passion for his profession.  He enjoys working with his patients and creating a positive rapport.

Yelena Yefremenko MA, LMT is someone who both understands the importance and thoroughly enjoys the pursuit of education, Yelena first earned her bachelors of education from Pedagogogical Institute in 1984. After teaching language arts in Orenburg, Russia for several years she continued teaching in the Cleveland school district as  mainly a substitute French teacher. Her pursuit for further education and love for helping others led her to pursue becoming a medical assistant and Massage Therapist.  She graduated from the Cleveland Institute of Dental and Medical Assistants in 1995 and from the National Institute of Massotherapy in 1997. Yelena has worked as a licensed Massage Therapist for 15 years in various institutions including as both a medical assistant and massage therapist in the Physical Therapy department at University Hospital. She continues her love for learning by continuously studying all of the latest techniques and medical breakthroughs. She currently holds many certifications in techniques including Cosmetic and Sports massage, Isometric muscle release, Myofacial Release, Fibromyalgia, Chronic Myofacial Pain,  Shiatsu Anma Therapy and many more. It is this love of acquiring more means of bringing stress relief and better health to her patients that makes her one of the most sought after Massage Therapists in the region.
